Dr. Keen started this practice in the late 1970s and the building has been a dental office since about 1981. Dr. Rasmussen carried it on, and we took over in 2013.
Today that's Drs Isabelle Nguyen, Krissa Mickelwait, Kari Wilson and Nick Wilson. A comfortable, inviting office, gentle treatment, and continuing care, so you enjoy your teeth for life.
Never leave unsure why
Most new patients don't come in asking for a thorough exam. They tend to be pleasantly surprised by how detailed and complete ours is. We take photos and x-rays so you can see what we see, and we walk you through all of it.
If you want a second opinion, say so, and we'll send your records anywhere you like at no charge. If you'd rather wait, tell us that too. We'll tell you honestly what waiting is likely to cost you, and then it's your call.
Most dental needs are taken care of right here, including extractions and implants, so you usually don't have to go anywhere else. We refer when a specialist genuinely gives you a better result.

Dr. Isabelle Nguyen
Dr. Nguyen's approach is patient-centred: she treats each smile as individually as the person it belongs to. Her love of dentistry began when she discovered its blend of science and art. She earned her bachelor's degree in chemistry at Pomona College and her Doctor of Dental Surgery at Baylor College of Dentistry, and has worked with both children and adults. Her care ranges from everyday oral health to cosmetic treatment and Invisalign. She grew up in Dallas, Texas, and loves to travel.
Dr. Krissa Mickelwait
Dr. Kari Wilson
Dr. Kari spent the first nineteen summers of her life in Anacortes, where her father directed a marine research station near Deception Pass. After graduating from Loma Linda University School of Dentistry in 2010 she came back to make it her permanent home. She especially enjoys orthodontics and seeing patients' smiles change. Her orthodontic and growth care for kids and adults is at Room to Grow, her practice next door. Away from the office you'll find her with her daughter Ellie, in her garden, cooking, or running in the forest lands.
Dr. Nick Wilson
Dr. Nick grew up in Longview, Washington, and earned his bachelor's and master's degrees at Walla Walla University. He met Kari while they were both doing master's research near Anacortes, and after Loma Linda University School of Dentistry in 2010 they made Anacortes home. Dr. Nick enjoys projects. Whether it's adding treatment rooms or updating the office's technology, he's always working to take better care of our patients. Outside the office he enjoys exercising and time with his daughter Ellie.

Alyssa
Alyssa's patients appreciate her gentle hand and friendly attitude. She grew up in Conway, is a Washington native, and enjoys time with family, friends, and her dog Boomer.
Colleen
Colleen was born and raised in Anacortes and is thrilled to care for the community she has cherished for so long. She came to dental hygiene through a passion for helping others, and believes a healthy smile can make a real difference in a person's life.
Katie
Katie is an Anacortes native raising her family here. With over 20 years of dental experience, she truly loves being a registered dental hygienist. Outside work she and her husband are kept busy with their kids' sports and their dog Millie, and the family loves camping in their RV.
